Address Searching

The Address Search tool allows you to search for specific addresses in Northern Ireland and to locate them on the map canvas. The tool automatically returns the top twenty most likely matches from the address database.

1. Click on the Show Address Search button on the toolbar to open the Address Search dialogue.
2. Type in the full or partial address to the Address Search field.
3. The tool automatically returns the twenty most likely address matches from the address database, unless no matches are found (if the information entered is too sparse).
4. Each address returned is a hyperlink. Click on the appropriate address to zoom the map to that location.
5. To begin a new search, simply type into the Address Search field again and the results are updated.
6. Click on the Clear button to clear all results if you want to begin again with an empty dialogue.
