OSNI Mapping

Description of Data

Land and Property Services provides the following layers as basemapping for GeoHub NI.

  • County Boundary Underlay - Large Scales County Boundary dataset.
  • 250K Raster Colour - A raster version of the Ireland North Holiday map.
  • 50K Raster Greyscale - A monochrome raster versions of the Discoverer Series.
  • OSNI Largescale - The OSNI largescale database.

The OSNI largescale database layers include:

  • Artificial Feature Points
  • Boundary Lines
  • Boundary Points
  • Building Annotation
  • Building Lines
  • Building Polygons
  • County Boundary Underlay
  • General Annotation
  • Natural Feature Lines

  • Rail Centre Lines
  • Rail Lines
  • Rail Points
  • RailCentreLines
  • Road Annotation

These layers are available to every registered user to view and query in the GeoHub NI Map Viewer and they are also available to licensed users throught the web services.

They differ from other layers contained in the system because they are added by default to all new map definitions and cannot be searched for and added as individual layers.
